While working as a fashion editor for many years I collaborated closely with both photographers and designers. I was involved in selecting wardrobes for the celebrities that were on the magazine covers. I supervised a department and created the fashion pages. My desire was to design jewelry and studied at Kulick Institute and Parsons School of Design.

I traveled to San Francisco with the jewelry I designed, making many contacts with various stores and galleries. Upon returning to New York City I then set up my jewelry company in 1992.

The Bruml Design collection embraces materials such as sterling silver, 14k green gold and semi-precious gems. The designs are derived from the beauty and simplicity of nature. Shapes and spaces inspire me to create a minamalist aesthetic that reflects my individual style. —Amy Bruml
